Monday, Aug. 13
- Township Council will meet for its first of two regular meetings in August at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Complex courtroom. The agenda, which is posted online, includes the introduction and first reading of an ordinance that would allow Manchester police to patrol the roads of Crestwood Village VI.

- The classic film "Jaws" will be screened outside on the lawn of Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library at 6:30 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket.
Wednesday, Aug. 15
- The film screenings at of the Ocean County Library continue at 2 and 6 p.m. when "Prairie Love" is shown. The unrated film runs 80 minutes.

- A representative from Comcast is expected at the Lakehurst Borough Council meeting to hear from members of the governing body and residents before the service contract is renewed in an executive session, 7:30 p.m. at the borough community center on Center Street.
Friday, Aug. 17
- The winners of the Ocean County Library Manchester branch photo contest will be announced at 2 p.m. A reception with light refreshments will follow.
Saturday, Aug. 18
- The Lakehurst Volunteer Fire Company will hold its Summer Luau from 6 to 11 p.m. at the community center on Center Street. Tickets for the 21-plus event are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Admission includes a pig roast/rotisserie turkey and bottomless beer mug. DJ Brian will provide the music. Call 732-657-1106 for tickets or stop by the firehouse on Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 6 to 10 p.m.
