What's Open, Closed On Memorial Day In Manchester

Government offices and your trash and recycling pickups will be disrupted; check out information on the Memorial Day parade, too.

MANCHESTER, NJ — With Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of summer beginning at last, here are some reminders about what's open and what's closed Monday due to the federal holiday:

  • All federal, state, county and local government offices are closed
  • The U.S. Post Office is closed and there is no mail delivery
  • All federal, state and local courts are closed
  • All branches of the Ocean County Library are closed

The Township Council meeting, typically held on the second and fourth Mondays, will be Tuesday, May 29.

Most retail businesses — stores and restaurants — are open but other businesses, such as professional offices, may not be. It's best to call ahead before you go.
