Woman Missing From Manchester, Beachwood Found Safe: Police

MANCHESTER, NJ — A woman who had been missing for four days has been found and is safe, New Jersey State Police announced Friday night.

Jill Santos, 50, was last seen leaving Manchester for Beachwood on Sunday, Sept. 8, Manchester police said Tuesday morning in a Facebook post seeking the public's help in finding her. Family members and friends told police she had not been heard from since then.

She was described as driving a 2019 red Toyota Corolla, Manchester police said in their Facebook post.

On Friday, authorities were called to a wooded area on the western side of Berkeley Township called Dover Forge to search for a missing woman in a red vehicle, Ocean County Scanner News reported. Friends of Santos later confirmed it was her and her car, and that she was safe.

Details on how she was located or how she wound up in the woods were not immediately available.
