Following the trend of the big shopping days, the movement urges support for organizations that help others

Looking for ways to help others this holiday season?
That’s what the founders of #GivingTuesday hope. The movement, founded in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, aims to urge people to support local nonprofits, and jumps on the themes of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
