Organized by the Manville Relief Center and Manville Democratic Club, the program drew community donations to help kids start school prepared despite rising costs, continuing Ida-inspired support for borough residents.
   

• Manville football extends win-streak by besting Keansburg in road season-opener (nj.com subscription) — Manville's football team opened its season in dominant fashion, routing Keansburg 56–18 behind three touchdowns from Matt Gorbatuk and a balanced rushing attack. The win stretches the Mustangs' regular-season streak to 16 games, with big defensive plays from Aidan Johnson, Gorbatuk, and Cassius Carter, and sets up another road test at Brearley next Friday.
