Manville Couple Arrested For Having Weapons At Bridgewater Hotel
Breaking: The Manville man allegedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at another man while threatening him at the hotel on Route 22: Police.

MANVILLE, NJ — A Manville couple was arrested on weapon charges after a victim reported being threatened with a gun at a Bridgewater hotel on Route 22, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.
Justin M. Matthews, 37, and Deborah L. Nickerson, 35, both of Brooks Boulevard, Manville were arrested and charged.
On Nov. 9 at around 8:11 a.m., a patron at a Bridgewater Township hotel located on Route 22 reported that while in room 226, an acquaintance of his, Matthews, pointed a black colored semi-automatic handgun at him while threatening him, Robertson said.

A perimeter was set up around the hotel, and guests in nearby rooms were evacuated. After talking to Matthews through telephone, both Matthews and Nickerson were arrested without incident, according to Robertson.
A search of the hotel room found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun along with a .32 caliber revolver, according to the report.

Matthews was charged with two counts of second degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, second degree certain persons not possess weapons and fourth degree aggravated assault.
Nickerson was charged with two counts of second degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second degree certain persons not possess weapons.
After processing at Bridgewater Township Police headquarters both Matthews and Nickerson were lodged in the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
