Manville Diner Reports Theft Of Copper Piping

Manville police also report theft, fraud, simple assault and more last week in the borough.

MANVILLE, NJ — A person from the Manville Diner reported a theft on Jan. 22.

Sometime between 9:45 and 11 a.m. someone cut an 8- to 10-foot long copper water line on the rear of the building. Investigation to continue, Manville Police report.

On Jan. 22 at 2:06 p.m.: Owner of Genes Car Care reports that sometime overnight someone broke into a storage shed on the business property. Three drills were stolen, totaling $185 in value. Investigation to continue.

On Jan. 22 at 5:28 p.m.: A resident of White Avenue reports someone stole his credit card number and made a fraudulent charge of $890. Investigation to continue.

On Jan. 23 at 9:46 p.m.: A resident of East Camplain Road arrives at police headquarters and reports his Wells Fargo debit card was used without his permission. The card was used approximately 35 times for approximately $1,500 over the past three weeks. Investigation to continue.

On Jan. 24 at 12:55 p.m.: A Manville resident was arrested for simple assault following a domestic dispute. The resident was transported to police headquarters, processed and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

On Jan. 25 at 11:22 a.m.: A resident of Clifton was charged with violating a restraining order following an investigation. A summons was issued. The resident was processed and released.

On Jan. 27 at 7:16 p.m.: Following an investigation with probation officers, Kimberly Bezick, 36, of Manville was arrested for an NCIC warrant. She was processed and lodged in Somerset County Jail.

On Jan. 27 at 11:50 p.m.: Following an investigation, Maria Valentin, 37, of Manville was arrested for obstruction of justice. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released.

On Jan. 28 at 9:42 a.m.: Christopher R. Hickman, 35, of Green Brook was arrested for use of toxic chemical to inhale. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.
