Manville Fugitive Arrested After Annoymous App Report
A Manville man and Somerset County Fugitive was arrested after an anonymous report came in through the STOPit app with his location.

MANVILLE, NJ — A Manville man, who was named as Somerset County's Fugitive Of The Week for Dec. 22, was arrested after an anonymous report came in through the STOPit app.
The report was received by the Somerset County Communications Center reporting the location of Justin Tomlinson, 29, of South 6th Avenue, Manville on Friday at 1 a.m.
Based on the information received, Manville Police were able to arrest him without incident.

A warrant had been issued for Tomlinson on Sept. 11, 2017 when he failed to appear in Somerset County Superior Court. Tomlinson was initially charged with 3 rd degree burglary.
Tomlinson was lodged at the Somerset County Jail pending a bail detention hearing.

The STOPit app is a new and innovative way of anonymously reporting inappropriate and/or suspected criminal behavior. The mobile app allows users to immediately and discreetly connect people affected by inappropriate behavior or whom wish to report illegal behavior, to people who can help.
The STOPit app allows for anonymous two-way communications with dispatchers and/or law enforcement Officers who will obtain the information necessary to render assistance. Users of the STOPit app can “chat” with dispatchers and/or send images and videos. The STOPit app also has a Get Help tab that provides Somerset County Residents with direct links to resources such as Domestic Violence, Opioid Addiction and Child Abuse Services.
