Manville Massage Therapist Charged For Not Having License

One car was stolen and another burglarized while parked in Manville, according to the police blotter.

MANVILLE, NJ — The owner of Cherry Blossom Spa on South Main Street and an employee were both charged last week.

On Nov. 3 at 11:18 a.m., on a follow-up investigation at the Cherry Blossom Spa, detectives charged the owner, Yinzhi Sophia Hwang, 46, of Long Pond, Pennsylvania with borough ordinance violations with employing a therapist without a New Jersey State License and failing to complete a background investigation, Manville police reported.

Soon Ock Kwon, 51, of Flushing, New York was charged with working without a New Jersey State License, police reported.

On Oct. 30 at 11:47 a.m.: A resident of Huff Avenue reports an unknown actor(s) made several unauthorized purchases using her Visa Credit One Bank card in Denmark. Total value $1,041. Credit One Bank will investigate. Victim reimbursed.

On Oct. 30 at 10:13 p.m.: Carneys Point Police Department advises having Johnathan Peterkin, 29, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under arrest for an outstanding Manville warrant. He was processed and released.

On Oct. 31 at 10:34 p.m.: During a motor vehicle crash investigation, it was discovered that Zaida Mayes of Manville had an active warrant from Washington Township. The Washington Township Police Department was contacted and advised and she was given a new court date and released.

On Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m.: A resident of Somerset reports a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am two-door was stolen from the Adesa property. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as a stolen vehicle. Investigation to continue.

On Nov. 1 at 9:52 p.m.: A resident of Manville was charged with domestic violence contempt following a dispute. The accused was processed and released.

On Nov. 2 at 7:52 p.m.: Patrols respond to Walmart on the report of a shoplifting. Patrols subsequently arrest Umida Khamraeva, 22, of Manville and Laylo Mardonova, 24, of Manville for shoplifting. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed, charged and released.

On Nov. 3 at 10:05 a.m.: A resident of Astoria, New York reports an unknown actor(s) keyed the driver side of his vehicle and stole a Sony digital camera from the back seat of his 2011 blue BMW. The incident occurred between the hours of 9:42 and and 9:50 a.m. in the WalMart parking lot. The estimated value taken is $3,000. Investigation to continue.

On Nov. 3 at 1:47 p.m.: A resident of Wyoming Place reports a scam. He is selling his vehicle on Craigslist and he received a check from an unknown individual residing outside New Jersey. He is asking him to cash the check and mail back the remaining amount using Western Union. He was advised not to send any money. Investigation to continue.

On Nov. 3 at 5:38 p.m.: A resident of Manville walks into headquarters to report receiving a telephone call from a male claiming to be from the IRS. He was advised it was a scam and no personal information was given. No further action taken.

On Nov. 3 at 6 p.m.: Following an investigation on South Street, patrols subsequently arrest Brian Forman, 39, of Manville for disorderly conduct. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Nov. 4 at 7:58 p.m.: A resident of Manville was lodged in the Somerset County Jail after being arrested during a domestic dispute.
