MANVILLE, NJ — Meet Mr. Whiskers! He has been chosen as Manville Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Meet Mr. Whiskers! From Manville. He is a 5 year old domestic short haired tabby. I rescued him when he was 10 weeks old. He is very loving and loyal. I think he believes he is a dog

When we come home from work, he trots across the living room to greet us. At dinner time, he sits by the table and begs for meat lol.

Mr. Whiskers is beyond sweet. Such a good kitty! He is not just a pet, he is family."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Manville Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
