MANVILLE, NJ — Meet Scrappy! He has been chosen as Manville's Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"A few months ago he was a stray who would come and go in the night for food. We one day put food out for him during the day and wow here he comes rubbing, and wanted to be petted. So on and on he came, he was neutered already and had a snipped ear so then I knew he was a stray. As days went by I gave him some flea medicine before I would allow him in the house so we put the food inside to get him used to coming in.

As you see he has adjusted to house life. I knew this cat Scrappy was the one I had seen in the shelter months ago. My husband went to donate to the shelter one day and asked if they remember Scrappy. 'Oh yes,' they said. He came from the scrap yard in Manville. My husband said well he now sleeps on our bed. What a lucky cat he is. We always take in shelter cats. We have three now."
