SOMERVILLE, NJ – Recently, the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners, the Recycling Division, the county’s Sheriff’s Office and the Food Bank Network of Somerset County sponsored Project First Class, the annual donation drive to collect school supplies for students of county families who are in-need.

“The pandemic has impacted so many families in the county, and the cost of school supplies are even higher than last year,” said Somerset County Commissioner Deputy Director Sara Sooy. “For families who are struggling, receiving these gifts through Project First Class means the world."

The donations were collected at the Somerset County Administration Building, and the Somerset County First Saturday Drop-off then delivered to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County where items have been distributed directly to families and students.
