Stolen Manville Car Recovered In Newark

A Manville resident was also arrested for drug possession in a separate incident, accoridng to the police blotter.

MANVILLE, NJ — A resident of South 4th Avenue in Manville reported his vehicle was stolen on Oct. 27 at 3:48 a.m.

The vehicle was parked in the driveway with the keys left inside, police reported.

The area was checked and County Police Departments were notified. On Oct. 28, Newark Police Department found the vehicle and all alarms were cancelled, police reported.

On Oct. 24 at 9:28 a.m.: Patrols respond to Quick Chek and speak with the manager who advises that an elderly male was just in the store and shoplifted. Lawrence DeBaro, 74, of Hillsborough was advised of the complaint and told not to return to the Quick Chek in the future or they would pursue shoplifting charges.

On Oct. 24 at 2:27 p.m.: Patrols respond to Walmart and speak with a resident of Basking Ridge who reports that her purse was stolen while in Walmart. The purse was left in the bathroom and when she returned, the purse was gone. The contents included a social security card, $4 in cash and medication. Total value of items stolen is $50. Investigation to continue.

On Oct. 24 at 3:11 p.m.: Robert Ortiz, 22, was under arrest in South Bound Brook on an active Manville warrant. He was processed and released.

On Oct. 25 at 11:39 a.m.: During a motor vehicle stop, patrols subsequently arrest Robert Rivera, 21, of Manville for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.

On Oct. 26 at 1:58 p.m.: During a suspicious vehicle check, patrols subsequently arrest Patrizia Vandemark, 42, of Lodi for an outstanding warrant. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released.

On Oct. 26 at 10:44 p.m.: During an investigation, Kimberly Bezick, 35, of Manville was arrested on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Somerset County Jail in default of bail.

On Oct. 29 at 1:08 a.m.: During a motor vehicle stop, patrols subsequently arrest Stanley Akers, 19, of Trenton for outstanding warrants. He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.
