Two Manville Locals Wanted In Bridgewater Shoplifting: Police
Theft, shoplifting, illegal dumping and more were reported recently in Manville, police say.

MANVILLE, NJ — Two Manville locals are wanted in connection with shoplifting incident in Bridgewater on July 1.
At 8:55 a.m., Manville Patrols assisted Bridgewater Police Department with a shoplifting that occurred at the Quick Chek on Union Avenue in Bridgewater.
The suspects, Clark Moyer and Jennifer Downing, both of Manville, were unable to be located. They were both entered as wanted persons from Bridgewater Police Department, Manville Police reported.

On June 26 at 7:26 p.m.: A Manville resident reports he applied for a job online and sent $150 in cash to an address in California. After doing so, he received a phone call from an unknown Hispanic male who threatened him and demanded more money. It was determined that this was not a legitimate company. The resident could not identify the person(s) involved.

On June 27 at 1:19 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of Gladys Avenue on the report of illegal dumping. The resident reported illegal dumping on her property that came from a neighbor. The items were removed.
On June 27 at 7:54 p.m.: Patrols respond to WalMart on the report of a shoplifting. Patrols subsequently arrest Jessica Quesada-Solano of Manville for shoplifting. She was transported to Police Headquarters where she was processed, charged and released.
On June 28 at 9:44 a.m.: A Gladys Avenue resident reports an unknown suspect attempted to open up his tool chest located in the rear of his truck. No items were taken. The incident occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
On June 28 at 11:41 p.m.: Patrols respond to the Quick Chek on the report of an assault. The victim reports being assaulted in the Quick Chek lot. Patrols subsequently locate Michael David Valverde Cascante, 33 and arrested him for simple assault. He was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.
On June 30 at 8:30 p.m.: A resident of Hamilton reports that a Verizon account was opened in his name at a Manville address and there is an unpaid balance of $790 and the incident occurred in 2014. The victim suspects his ex-wife may be involved. The incident is determined to be a civil matter and both parties were advised.
On June 30 at 8:33 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of North Main Streeet for a theft. Patrols subsequently arrest Barry Harris of Manville for theft of an air conditioner radiator. He was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed, charged and released.
On July 1 at 9:30 p.m.: Patrols respond to the area of South Street and subsequently arrest Joel Picado-Amador, 34, of Somerville. He was issued a summons for consuming alcohol in public.
