$1.2M In School Admin. Salaries In SOMSD: See How It's Spent

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Superintendent and principal salaries continue to rise, and last year South Orange and Maplewood taxpayers spent $1,281,726 on administrators in their school district.

The Department of Education recently released its annual list of superintendents and principals and their salaries before the start of the 2018-19 school year. Some of the administrators listed may no longer be with their schools; this list was developed in 2018.

The Department of Education has said it double-checks the data before delivering it to the media.

The list below is the South Orange-Maplewood principals and superintendent with their school, their school district, their years of service (which is surely a factor in their pay) and, finally, their salaries in 2018:
