2 Cars Stolen In Maplewood On Rutgers Street, Park Avenue: Police
Two cars were stolen in Maplewood last week, authorities say.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Two cars were stolen in Maplewood last week, authorities say.
The Maplewood Police Department released the following details about the vehicle thefts:
May 25 – “At approximately 6:21 a.m., patrols responded to a Rutgers Street residence on a report of a motor vehicle theft. The caller reported that his vehicle was stolen from the residence sometime between May 24 and May 26. The caller also reported that he could not locate his keys and believed that he had left them in the car. This incident is under investigation by the Maplewood Police Department Detective Bureau.”

May 27 – “At approximately 8:33 a.m., patrols responded to a Park Avenue residence on a report of a motor vehicle theft. The caller reported that his vehicle was parked in the driveway the night before and when he returned, he discovered the vehicle was stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark unoccupied.”
