2 Dead After Fire At Residence In Union: Reports

UNION, NJ — Two people died in connection with a fire Sunday morning at a home in Union, according to reports.

The incident occurred in a two-family residence around 5:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Grandview Avenue, WABC reported, adding the roof and second story of the structure collapsed.

Conditions on the scene prevented first responders from accessing the home to save those inside, according to PIX11.

Neighbors told WABC their houses shook after an explosion-like sound was heard in the area.
