2 Prostitution-Related Arrests At Maplewood Health Club: Police
An undercover police operation at a Maplewood health club ended with two prostitution-related arrests, authorities said.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — An undercover police operation at a Maplewood health club ended with two prostitution-related arrests on Wednesday, authorities said.
After receiving several complaints from the public, Maplewood police carried out an undercover investigation at TWC Health Club at 2168 Millburn Avenue at 7:30 p.m.
An undercover officer entered the establishment and was “propositioned with sexual acts in exchange for monetary funds.” At that time, officers on standby entered the club and detained five people, Maplewood police stated.

Two of those detained were arrested:
- Daniel Fainman, 28, of Manalapan, was charged with promoting prostitution
- Abidemi Roberts, 28, of Clifton, was charged with prostitution for monetary funds
Despite initial reports from members of the public, a police investigation didn’t reveal any evidence of “human trafficking” at the location, authorities said.

The business was operating without a license, police said.
