After String Of Armed Robberies, Maplewood To Hold Safety Town Hall
The police will give updates and an "overview of their response plan to the recent crime trend," said a message from the town of Maplewood.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — On the heels of a string of robberies in town, the Maplewood police will host a "Community Conversation on Public Safety" this Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The event follows several recent armed robberies and attacks, including, most recently, a case in which a woman was punched while walking her bulldog. Two men took off with the dog, she told police.
The event will take place at the DeHart Community Center at 120 Burnett Ave.

"MPD will provide an update on recent incidents and ongoing investigations along with an overview of their response plan to the recent crime trend," said a message from officials. "Residents will be encouraged to share their public safety concerns and experiences."
The town hall will be recorded.
