MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Two attempted home burglaries were recently reported on the same day in Maplewood, police say.
The Maplewood Police Department released the following details about the incidents, which took place on Sept. 14:
WARNER ROAD – Officers responded to a Warner Road residence after getting a report about an attempted residential burglary. The caller said that three unknown men attempted to gain entry into the residence through a first-floor window. They fled the scene when a home alarm activated. This incident is currently under investigation by the Maplewood Police Department's Detective Bureau.
RIDGEWOOD TERRACE – Officers responded to a Ridegwood Terrace residence after getting a report about an attempted residential burglary. The caller said he was woken up by his dog barking. When he checked the home's cameras, he saw three unknown men trying to get into the home through a first-floor window. This incident is currently under investigation by the Maplewood Police Department's Detective Bureau.
