An Evening with Michael Moore

MICHAEL MOORE
Famed documentary filmmaker, author, social critic, and political activist Michael Moore will be at the South Orange Middle School Auditorium on Friday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. This year marks the 25th anniversary of his first film, Roger & Me, which launched his career as one of America's best-known and most controversial documentarians. Roger & Me was recently selected by the Library of Congress for placement on the National Film Registry. Moore is the director and producer of Fahrenheit 9/11 - the highest-grossing documentary of all time and winner of the Palme d'Or. His films Bowling for Columbine and Sicko also placed in the top ten highest-grossing documentaries, and the former won the Academy Award for Documentary Feature. In September 2008, he released his first free movie on the Internet, Slacker Uprising, which documented his personal quest to encourage more Americans to vote in presidential elections. He has also written and starred in the TV shows TV Nation and The Awful Truth.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at http://www.somadultschool.org or (973) 378-7620. Tickets are available at the door space permitting.
