Audition for Junior Theatre production of Urinetown, The Musical at CDC Theatre

Teens, ages 13-19, have to opportunity to audition for Urinetown, the Musical! at CDC Theatre in Cranford. One of the most uproariously funny musicals in recent years, Urinetown is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity's most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he's had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! Don't miss the chance to be a part of this hilarious musical!

Auditions will take place at CDC Theatre on Monday, March 24 at 7pm and Saturday, March 29 from 10am until 2pm. Callbacks will be on March 29 at 4pm. The performance dates are June 6th and 7th. Come prepared to sing 32 bars of a musical theatre song and were something appropriate for a brief dance audition. Auditions are open to all levels and abilities. Everyone is welcome! If cast in the show there will be a $100 registration fee to cover production costs which will include a show t-shirt.
