Baby Trump Balloon Coming To Maplewood Sunday: Report

The inflatable infant Trump will be visiting the South Orange Maplewood (SOMA) Action event.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Drumming up interest in the November mid-term elections got a lot more interesting as an inflatable balloon baby Trump is set to make an appearance at the South Orange Maplewood (SOMA) Action event Sunday, according to a report from NJ.com.

SOMA Action is an organization of over 900 members from South Orange, Maplewood, and surrounding communities committed to a progressive agenda of social and environmental justice, transparency in government, and the value of a diverse and inclusive community, according to their website.

This Sunday, the from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Woodland, located at 60 Woodland Road, the group is planning a for an "important All-Hands meeting prior to the November midterms," according to its Facebook event page.

The group says they plan on sharing best practices for knocking doors in the 7th and 11th districts and asks that attendees wear comfortable shoes and "bring their outrage."

As for the Trump balloon, NJ.com reports balloon will be used to help them attract people to canvas for congressional candidates in the coming election.

"He's going to be sitting down and relaxing as an observer of the street fair that's happening Sunday," Jim Girvan, an organizer of Baby Trump Tour, told NJ.com.

The balloon was one of four purchased over the summer from a GoFundMe campaign started by Girvan.
