Bear Sighting Prompts Indoor Recess In South Orange-Maplewood

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A surprise visitor in town prompted the South Orange-Maplewood to alter the school schedule Friday, after a bear was spotted near South Orange schools.

According to school officials, the police notified them of a bear in the area of the South Orange schools and recess was being held indoors as a precaution.

The location of the bear sighting was not released.
