Broadway Star Kathryn Allison to Visit & Work with PTW Campers August 7

Summer campers in New Jersey are about to get a close-up view of a current Broadway star, who is returning to her former school, Performer’s Theatre Workshop (PTW) in Maplewood. Kathryn Allison, who is currently starring in the Broadway hit Aladdin, will work with the passionate kids who attend camp. This up-close-and-personal class is part of the school's mission to bring the professional world of acting, singing and dancing to local kids and vice versa.

The visit is slated for Monday, August 7 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

As part of the experience, the talented Ms. Allison will be working on song interpretation and audition technique, which will make for an exciting experience. A friend from the team of PTW, a reporter herself, shared information about the ongoing Professional Track program at the beloved school and raved about Ms. Allison, who she called “one of the vocal wonders of the world.”

The PTW Professional Track is for students who are currently working professionally or who aspire to work professionally. This program equips students with the nuances, insights and techniques that make a huge difference in getting professional roles.

This 7-Session Master Class series is a rare opportunity not to pass up. For Sessions 1-4, you'll focus on fine tuning and polishing your audition technique with the stellar PTW Professional Track faculty.
