Car Stolen In Maplewood, Multiple Thefts To Autos Reported: Cops
"Over the past several weeks, Maplewood and many surrounding towns have reported multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles," police said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood police are reminding residents not to leave valuables or keys in their vehicles after a series of recent thefts to autos and a stolen car on Peachtree Road.
“Over the past several weeks Maplewood and many surrounding towns have received multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles as well as thefts of vehicles that had the keys left in them,” Maplewood police stated on Nov. 6. “The Maplewood Police Department would like to remind residents to remove all valuables and keys from vehicles.”
Maplewood police said the following incidents were recently reported in the township:

- October 30 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours, an unsecured vehicle parked on Madison Avenue was entered and a GPS unit and change were taken from it.
- November 1 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle parked on Boyden Parkway was entered and a phone, sneakers and cash were removed.
- November 2 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle parked on Hilton Avenue was entered and change was taken.
- November 2 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle parked on Rutgers Street was entered. A shoulder bag and change were removed from the vehicle.
- November 3 - Theft from Auto - During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle parked on Highland Place was entered and a wallet was stolen.
- November 5 - Motor Vehicle Theft - Between 6 and 9 p.m., an unsecured vehicle containing the keys was stolen from Peachtree Road.
