Car Stolen And Quickly Recovered In Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — In the second alert sent about crime in Maplewood on Thursday, Maplewood police told residents Thursday night that an Audi had been stolen from a residential street.

However, 29 minutes later, they alerted residents that the car had been found.

An alert at 8:40 p.m. said a 2015 Audi A6 was stolen in front of a Parker Avenue address.

And at 9:09, police said it was found.

Much earlier on Thursday, police messaged residents about activity at the local Wawa. That turned out to be a dispute that escalated, police said. Read more about it here.
