Columbia High School Scholarship Fund Deadline Approaches
The money can be used for trade or technical school, or community college, four-year college and even graduate school.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Applications for the Columbia High School Scholarship Fund (CHSSF) are available for download and the deadline for the 2019 season is set for Tuesday.
The application can be filled out online and printed from the website.
The Columbia High School Scholarship Fund (CHSSF) was established in 1923 with the mission of providing need-based financial assistance to graduates of Columbia High School for any kind of post secondary education, according to their website. Since its founding, CHSSF has awarded over $1.1 million in scholarships to several thousand students. CHSSF is governed by an independent board of local volunteers and is the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the South Orange and Maplewood community, officials said.

Columbia High School seniors and graduates are encouraged to apply. The scholarships are need-based and can be used for any kind of post secondary education from trade or technical school, to community college, four-year college and even graduate school. The awards are for one year only; recipients have to re-apply each year.
Applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 16 and they must be sent to the post office box indicated in the materials, CHSSF, P.O. Box 315, Maplewood, NJ 07040. They are not to be returned them to Columbia High School.
