Columbia High School Temporarily Evacuated After Fire Alarm: Report
The short evacuation may have been caused by a broken steam pipe, a report says.

Maplewood, NJ – Authorities temporarily evacuated Columbia High School in Maplewood on Friday afternoon following a fire alarm, according to a report.
The evacuation started around 12:30 p.m. after a fire alarm sounded and “reports of smoke” were given to authorities, Essex County Place stated.
Students were reportedly let back into the building less than 10 minutes later.

“The evacuation was reportedly caused after a steam pipe broke near Columbia High School's cafeteria,” Essex County Place stated in an update.
