Congrats! East Haven High School Cheerleader Alyssa Palmieri

The cheerleader is senior captain Alyssa Palmieri.

Alyssa has been on the team for 4 years and is one of the team captains.

To receive all state in cheerleading you first need to be nominated by your coach. Then you send in a skills video which consist of a cheer, stunts, and tumbling.

It is then judged by a panel of judges who use a score sheet to score the video for each section. Only 20 girls from each class (class S,M,L,LL) are picked.

Alyssa is the first cheerleader from EHHS to ever go all state.

We are extremely proud of Alyssa to have been picked. It is a huge honor and an amazing achievement that shows her dedication and hard work. At the end of March there is a banquet held for all of the cheerleaders from each class to attend.

Alyssa will also receive an all state banner that will be hung in the school gym with her name on it!
