Cops: Drunk, Naked Maplewood Woman Tried Kicking, Biting Emergency Responders Inside Ambulance
The woman was arrested Saturday night outside a Hanover Township hotel, police report.

When the only piece of clothing you have on is a pair of handcuffs, chances are it’s been an eventful evening.
That’s what police say took place at the EconoLodge Hotel in Hanover Township over the weekend when they responded to a call for a naked woman running around the facility.

Police Chief Stephen Gallagher said Patrolman Peter Hermans arrived to the business just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, and found a woman hanging out a first floor window asking for help.
The woman, later identified as Allison Anderson, 45, of Maplewood, was naked and asked by the officer to cover herself up, Gallagher said. She did so with a bed sheet and was encouraged to go to the hospital due to “her high level of intoxication,” Gallagher said.

Anderson then willingly got into an ambulance that had arrived on scene, but quickly became very combative and tried exiting the vehicle, Gallagher said.
Hermans and Officer David Littman, along with several Emergency Medical Service members attempted to get Anderson to stay inside the vehicle, but she began flailing around the vehicle and tried biting and kicking one of the officers, Gallagher said.
At that point she was placed under arrest.
Anderson was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on the police officer, resisting arrest, three counts of aggravated assault on the Emergence Medical Service members, disorderly conduct, and lewdness.
