Early Mother’s Day Ideas ‘About Town’…Hint, hint!

Three great ways to banish boring bath sets for Mother's Day!

After a wonderful, yet not overly relaxing week of no school, never-ending kitchen duty and ironing other people’s clothing for formal occasions, I’m sure I’m not the only Maplewoodian Mom looking forward to Mother’s Day May 8th…if only for the thought of eating something I didn’t cook.

To save your wee ones- and significant other – the sure fire miss of scrambling to CVS or Target Saturday the 7th for some sort of fragranced bath set you’ll probably get dermatitis from using, here are a list of local options leading up to the big day, that are sure to be a much bigger hit with Mom.... Really….

Find and Go Seek Road Trip: Back by popular demand, , the gifted guru behind Perch Home and her equally gifted cohort, , are hosting another ‘Find & Go Seek’ with road trip Friday, April 29 to Renninger's Antique Extravaganza in Berks County, PA.

Rated P the musical: Given as a date night gift or as part of a Girls Night Out, this show is sure to put a smile on Mom’s face and a giggle in her gut (which has wonderful abdominal strengthening effects, btw…). Director – and Maplewoodian – Jeremy Dobrish promises some serious laughter and keen insight into the trials and tribulations of parenting.

“RATED P isn't just for parents, it's for anyone who has ever had a parent,” says Dobrish. “It's the sort of show where you sit next to your spouse and elbow them with a ‘you do that’ or a ‘we've been there’ sort of a nudge. It'll make you think -and laugh- about yourself as a parent, but it's also a perfect way to say thank you to your Mom for all of the stuff she went through with you!”

The show runs May 5th - May 8th at SOPAC, you can buy tickets online here.

Okay- there you have it: Three great ways to avoid any last minute generic bath sets, y’all - and PLENTY of time to get 'em! (Feel free to forward along to your spouse and kids - or MY spouse and kids - as you see fit…)
