The Board of Education unanimously approved the preliminary 2012-2013 budget at its March 12 meeting. The budget now goes to the Board of School Estimate, which is responsible for taking action to levy the 2012-2013 school tax. The Board of School Estimate meets tonight to establish an understanding of the Board of Education’s proposed budget. Action will be taken when the Board of School Estimate reconvenes on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, to levy the 2012-2013 school tax.
