The Hilton Rain Garden was created to allow runoff from the street and parking lot to be absorbed and filtered before it returns to the groundwater system. Native perennials help absorb the runoff, and the soil helps filter out pollutants.
Rain gardens significantly reduce the amount of polluted water entering streams and rivers.
The Maplewood Garden Club invites everyone to join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony and refreshments!
Representatives from the Garden Club, Township and NJ American Water will be present to join in the opening ceremony.
