Home-Based Organic Vegetable Gardening with Wanda Knapik

Join the Maplewood Garden Club, Monday, February 7, when Ms. Wanda Knapik will talk about the art and science of growing organic food in your back (or front!) yard. She will discuss where to source organic seeds, and when and how to plant to ensure success. A certified permaculture designer and educator, organic vegetable gardener, and environmental activist, Ms. Knapik will also cover planting diversity – perennials and annuals, vegetables, herbs, flowers, berries and fruit –in integrated edible landscapes, as well as how to care for the soil and plants during all seasons. Don’t miss this valuable  Maplewood Garden Club program, Monday, February 7, 2011, 7:30 PM at the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., Maplewood, NJ. The meeting is open to the public, admission is free and refreshments (often home made!) will be served.
