Jim Walsh, the New Jersey Director for Food & Water Watch (www.foodandwaterwatch.org), will explore with us our connection to water and how things like fracking, electricity, privatization, water bottling and agriculture are impacting this relationship at 11 AM Sunday, October 9th, at the regular Platform of the Ethical Culture Society of Essex County, 516 Prospect St., Maplewood,
It is not often that we think about water because it is readily available from our tap for cooking, cleaning, drinking and gardening; however, water problems are at our door step. Jim is a dedicated political organizer with over ten years experience working in local and national movements to empower communities to work for social, racial and economic justice.
Sunday Platforms are at 11:00 AM at the Ethical Culture Society of Essex County. The Society is located at 516 Prospect St., Maplewood (at Parker Ave.). Attendance is free. The public is welcome and cordially invited. Call 973-763-1905, or visitwww.essexethical.org for further information.
