Maplewood Garden Club Presents Ikebana

The Maplewood Garden Club Presents Anna Nakada, A Master of Ikebana

Ikebana arrangements emphasize the beauty of nature using a minimal number of elements. In this ancient discipline, nature and humanity are brought together through the artistic juxtaposition of natural shapes and beautiful lines. At the December meeting of the Maplewood Garden Club Ms. Nakada, a master of the Ichiyo School of Ikebana will present a program about this ancient art of flower arranging. Nakada has demonstrated this disciplined art form worldwide, and teaches at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and at Ikebana International Chapters around the country. Learn more about Ichiyo Ikebana Monday, December 5, 7:30pm at the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., Maplewood, NJ. The meeting is open to the public, admission is free and refreshments (often home made!) are served. For more information visit maplewoodgardenclub.org.
