Greenwood Gardens, a 28-acre public garden listed on the National Register of Historic Places is located in Short Hills. The century old Estate, with its formal gardens, meadows, woodlands and sweeping views, represents a bit of New Jersey’s gracious past. This extraordinary garden is the subject of the Maplewood Garden Club’s May Lecture, presented by Louis Bauer. Mr. Bauer is the Director of Horticulture at Greenwood Gardens, and will present the vision and progress being made in updating the property to become a garden dedicated to conservation and horticulture. Find out more about this beautiful and historical location Monday, May 2 at 7:30 PM at the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., Maplewood, NJ. The meeting is open to the public, admission is free and refreshments (often home made!) will be served.
