Tryouts for the Maplewood Makos for those ages 6-18!
Although returning swimmers to the MAKOS this summer do not need to try out and do not need to attend the evaluations they do need to get their registration form and $25 payment (checks made payable to “Maplewood Swim Team”) mailed to Coach Carly NO LATER than June 15th in order to hold their spot. It should be mailed to:

For NEW SWIMMERS details for evaluations are as follows:
New swimmers must complete a swimming evaluation before registration to ensure preparedness for the season. Evaluations will take place at the Columbia High School Pool on June 2nd from 9:30 - noon and June 3rd from 9am-11:30am. Swimmers will be taken first come first serve and asked to complete task of his or her age group:
Age Group: Tasks
8 and under: two laps of freestyle and one lap of any other competitive stroke
9 and 10: dive, two laps of freestyle and one lap of two other competitive strokes
11 and 12: dive, three laps of freestyle and two laps of two other competitive strokes
13 and up: dive, 100 yd. freestyle and 100 yd. individual medley
