The Maplewood Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs is proud to present a special series of performances that will introduce young listeners to the joys of music. The next performance in our series is "Brass Music Fun" with The South Mountain Brass on Saturday, April 14th at 9:30 & 11:00am.
Join us this Saturday for some family music fun! Discover brass instruments and explore chamber music with The South Mountain Brass! This is an entertaining and educational program of brass quintet arrangements of classic themes, movie themes, and other familiar music.
What do you know about trumpets, trombones, horns, tubas and other brass music instruments? Can you tell the difference between fanfares and marches? Can you hear the brass notes in jazz, and movie music? New Jersey's own South Mountain Brass will give us an interactive demo.
