The Maplewood Garden Club Presents Starting Seeds and Cuttings
Winter may be right around the corner but it’s never too early to start planning next season’s garden. At the January meeting of the Maplewood Garden Club, Ben Lowell will conduct a lecture on techniques for successful seed starting and propagation of plant cuttings. Topics will include scarification, cold stratification, and soft-wood cuttings. Come learn what you need to do to grow your favorite plants from seed, or propagate more of your most beautiful houseplants or shrubs using cuttings from the original plant. Monday, January 9, 7:30pm at the Maplewood Memorial Library, 51 Baker St., Maplewood, NJ. The meeting is open to the public, admission is free and refreshments (often home made!) are served.
