Falling Tree Kills Woman Near South Mountain Reservation

A Verona woman was killed when a tree fell on her car in Millburn Friday morning, according to reports.
Susan E. Niler, 50, was the sole occupant of a Jeep Cherokee when the tree fell on her car on Brookside Drive around 6:30 a.m., NorthJersey.com reported.
Niler was transported to Morristown Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 7:40 a.m., NorthJersey.com said.

Utility crews worked throughout the day to repair the power grid on the road, which goes through the South Mountain Reservation, ABC 7 reported.
