Maplewood Community Music proudly presents Dancing Into Spring with Maplewood Concert Band under the direction of Steve Kimmons! Celebrate the new season with dance works Sousa, Bennett, Grainger, and more. There will also be special performances by the Maplewood Middle School 8th Grade Wind Ensemble and Maplewood Middle School Honors Wind Symphony. As always, admission is FREE! This is a great opportunity for students see and hear the concert band instruments live before they choose an instrument to play in school. This performance is this Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 7:30pm in the Maplewood Middle School Auditorium.
Maplewood Community Music (MCM) is home to several amateur bands/ensembles including the Maplewood Community Band, Swing Town (big band), and Bones Unlimited (trombone choir), among others.
All members of MCM volunteer their time to share their love of performing with the community. We welcome all all musicians, especially hobbyists, to join the Maplewood Community Band. We accept musicians regardless of skill level and age; however, high school level playing experience is recommended. There are no auditions! There's room for all woodwind, brass and percussion instruments!
