Give Maplewood Cops Your Drugs Saturday

The Maplewood Police Department is participating in Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - Residents with unused prescriptions medications now have a safe place to dump them, as the Maplewood Police Department is accepting them as part of Rx Take Back Day Saturday.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. those interested can drop off medication from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Maplewood Police Headquarters, located at 1618 Springfield Ave. This program affords residents the opportunity to rid their homes of medications no longer needed, and at the same time help prevent these pills from possibly falling into the wrong hands.

This is an anonymous program and no questions will be asked. Medications can be disposed of in their original containers directly into the collection box and no inventory will be conducted. Liquids medications should be kept in their original, tightly sealed containers.
