Gun-Toting Masked Man Commits Robbery: Maplewood Police

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - A man armed with a handgun and wearing a ski mask robbed a 20-year-old male walking on Plymouth Avenue on Dec. 28, according to the Maplewood Police Department.

According to authorities, shortly after 11:30 p.m. officers responded to the area of Plymouth Avenue and Oakland road on a reported armed robbery. The victim was walking in the area when he was approached by a male wearing a ski mask that brandished a handgun and demanded the victim's belongings, police said. The masked man took the victim’s jacket and phone before fleeing on foot, police said.

The victim was not injured and the incident is still under investigation.
