MAPLEWOOD, NJ — The National Weather Service expected that an oncoming snowstorm would be wrapping up by the morning commute on Friday, with 3 to 5 inches dumped in the Maplewood area by morning.

The township of Maplewood issued an advisory Thursday night, saying the DPW would be salting the roads, and the Police Station would be open overnight as a heating center.

Friday Morning And Afternoon: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent.
