How to Paint Your Dragon
Fifty-five children signed up for an afternoon of arts and crafts at the Dunnell Road Rec Center, sponsored by DreamWorks and the Maplewood Theater.
Through the driving wind and rain, they came. And they came in droves.
Parents and children who were already feeling cabin fever by 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, braved the weather to enjoy a promotional event for the DreamWorks film "How to Train Your Dragon," opening at the Maplewood Theater on March 26 (and, yes, nationwide).
Susan Rinaldi of the Maplewood Theater was on hand to distribute fruit snacks, coloring books and movie posters to the children. Tuscan parent Mary Meddahi was organizing the event and even added her own craft to the festivities—a fire-breathing dragon fashioned with a toilet paper roll and streamers.

It certainly seemed that all 55 children who registered did show up, as the windows quickly fogged in the crowded room and the din of noise escalated. Watch our video starring local talents Elkan Pleat, Luca and Annabella Torres, Ellie Gold, Valerie Hill, Alex Wasyliko, Julia and Lili Meddahi, and see for yourself!
