It’s a RAINY Friday About Town...Ugh.

On the bright side: Warhol inspiration blooms in town and Springfield Avenue hopes for a sunny Mayfest outlook!

If you caught a flash of Mylar in Maplewood Village this week, chances are it was coming from the wonderfully whimsical Warhol inspired windows of .

"We wanted to remind people that we are so much more than gorgeous flowers," explains Jeffery Spencer of Jerry Rose. "We also do one of a kind events."

If you haven't seen it already, it's worth the effort to swing by for a glimpse of the splendid blend of silver, soup and Brillo in this super display; it's sure to put a smile on faces of all ages. The pieces were part of last Friday’s Andy Warhol Factory Party at the Montclair Art Museum, which capped off this year's . And now Maplewood gets to bask in the lingering glow of the event’s glam design – lucky us!

Speaking of luck, fingers are crossed for fair skies come Sunday so that Springfield Avenue’s 10th annual can make the most of its rescheduled rain date.

“The incredible number of businesses and restaurants participating in this year’s MayFest makes this 10th Anniversary event very exciting,” noted , Executive Director of . “With all of the new activities this will be the biggest and best MayFest ever!”
