MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood voters went to the polls on Tuesday to cast ballots in the 2026 primary election.

Two seats on the Maplewood Township Committee are up for election this year. Terms last for three years.

Democratic and Republican candidates competed for their party’s nomination. The winners will match up against any independent or third-party candidates in a general election on Nov. 3.

Here are the latest results for the Democratic race in Maplewood, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office (with 71.43 percent of districts reported).

Vote for two:

  • Victor DeLuca – 2,725 votes (39.07%)
  • John Sullivan – 2,342 votes (33.58%)
  • Martin Ceperley – 1,907 votes (27.34%)
