Maplewood 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around town so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in Maplewood:

• What: Maplewood's July 4 Celebration
• Where: Memorial Park, North Field, South Field
• When: Thursday, July 4, starting at 8:15 a.m. and ending with fireworks after dark.

The Maplewood July 4 celebration begins with a bike parade at Ricalton Square at 8:15 a.m. and continues with community activities taking place on South Field from 9 a.m. to noon. There will be a food court at North Field as well as a car show along Dunnell Road from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

There will be an entertainment pavilion with live shows, face paining, a prize wheel, inflatable zone, jiggling clinic competitive contests, a photo booth and community partner activites and exhibits.

A variety of concerts will take place on the main stage and South Field will be graced by celebrity Chef Jesse Jones sharing anecdotes.

It all ends with the evening light show and fireworks from South Field to end Maplewood's 117th Independence Day Celebration.
